Send over what you’re thinking, even if the plan is currently just “pretty location, cool outfits, not awkward.” I’ll look through the type of session, location, timing, and overall vibe so we can build a couples session, engagement session, or portrait session that represents your unique love.
Once we pick a date and session type, I’ll send over the questionairre, contract and retainer to make it official. Your session isn't booked on the calendar until both your contract and retainer are finished, since Colorado couples sessions, travel dates, and weekends disappear way faster than they should.
Before your session, we’ll go over location, outfits, timing, weather, parking, and anything else that matters before you’re standing in front of the camera! Whether we’re shooting in Denver, the Colorado foothills, North Georgia, Savannah, or somewhere completely different, this is where we make the plan feel easy ahead of time.
You’ll get sneak peeks within 48 hours, then your full edited session gallery delivered online within 2 weeks. Every gallery includes high resolution images that are easy to download, share, print, post, send to your group chat, and stare at like you didn't just live through the session yourself.
After your gallery is delivered, you can order prints, albums, and anything else you want to, directly from a professional photo lab that I'm partnered with! Make your artwork real instead of letting your date night live on a hard drive forever. I can also help with album picks, print options, review links, and choosing the photos that deserve a spot on your wall!
I don't expect you to show up knowing how to pose. That would be a weird expectation, honestly.
I’ll give you enough direction so that you aren't left standing there wondering what to do with your hands, but I’m not going to force you into stiff poses for an hour either. We’ll start with movement, small prompts, walking, leaning, sitting, talking, and letting your body settle. Once I can see how the two of you naturally interact, I’ll pull in more intentional portraits.
Most couples tell me this. Almost none of them are actually awkward. They are just not used to being photographed.
Awkward usually happens when people are given vague direction like “just be yourselves” with a camera pointed at them. That is not helpful. I’ll tell you where to stand, what to do, when to move, when to slow down, and when something looks good. You can be quiet, loud, goofy, affectionate, shy, chaotic, or somewhere in the middle. I’ll work with that instead of trying to turn you into a completely different couple.
Wear something that feels like you, but more intentional than what you threw on to run errands. I care more about shape, movement, texture, and how the clothes work with the location than whether you followed a Pinterest color palette perfectly.
For Colorado sessions, layers are usually your friend. Mountain weather can change fast, wind is common, and temperatures can drop quickly once the sun starts going down.
I have an entire style guide for you to look over as you plan your session! Ask me about it to learn more.
It depends on the location. Colorado has a lot of strong natural color, so outfits should work with the landscape instead of disappearing into it.
You can absolutely wear bold color. I would rather help you make color work well than shove everyone into beige because the internet said so.

No. Engagement photos are great, but they are not the only reason to have photos together. You can book a session because you got engaged, because you want updated photos, because you’re visiting Colorado, because your dog is still young, because your relationship looks different than it did two years ago, or because you want photos that feel more like a memory than a yearly obligation.
Sessions are for couples, engagements, proposals, anniversaries, creative portraits, and the in-between seasons that still deserve to be documented.
