In today’s digital world, sharing photos online has become second nature—but when it comes to your children, privacy is everything. As a photographer, I believe every family should have full control over how their images are shared. That’s why I take extra steps to ensure your child’s privacy is respected and protected, both during and after your session.
If you’re concerned about keeping your little one’s photos off the internet, here’s how I prioritize privacy while still giving you a beautiful, meaningful photography experience.
1. You Decide What Gets Shared
Your family, your rules. Before I post any images from your session, I always check in with you. If you prefer your child’s face not to be shown online, I completely respect that. You’ll have full control over whether your photos are shared on my website, social media, or anywhere else.
2. Secure, Private Galleries
Your gallery link is not public—only the people you share it with will have access. I also require an email login for every person who views the gallery, so if you ever want to see who’s accessed it, just shoot me a text, email, or DM, and I’ll send you a list. If you’d like an extra layer of security, I can password-protect your gallery upon request.
3. Face-Free Sharing Options
Some families love having their session featured but prefer to keep their child’s identity private. In these cases, I can share photos that don’t include your child’s face—think beautiful detail shots, sweet moments from behind, or candid interactions that maintain their privacy while still capturing your family’s story.
4. No Tagging Without Permission
If I do share a photo on social media, I never tag families unless they’ve explicitly asked me to. This helps keep your personal information private and ensures your child’s images aren’t linked to any public accounts.
5. Watermarked Galleries & Tracking for Extra Protection
I don’t watermark photos on social media, but I do watermark them inside your online gallery for security. This allows me to track who has downloaded each image and, in many cases, determine if a photo has been screenshotted.
However, when you properly download your images through your gallery, your personal photos will be completely watermark-free—just as they should be. The watermark only appears in the gallery preview to prevent unauthorized saving. If you ever want to check who has downloaded or accessed your images, just reach out—I’m happy to provide the details.
6. Respecting Privacy at Public Events & Mini Sessions
Even at public or seasonal mini sessions, I still ask for permission before sharing any images of children. Whether it’s a holiday-themed shoot or a family adventure session, you’ll always have the final say on what is and isn’t shared.
Your Child’s Privacy Matters
At the end of the day, my goal is to create a safe, stress-free photography experience that gives you full control over how your memories are shared. Whether you want to keep your child’s images completely private, selectively share certain moments, or feature your session proudly—I’m here to respect your wishes 100%.
If privacy is a concern for your family, just let me know! We’ll work together to make sure you get stunning, meaningful photos while keeping everything as private as you need.
