E+H
A relaxing morning hike
E + H were sooo much fun to run around Herman Gulch with. They’re goofy together in the easiest way, so most of this session was basically us hiking, laughing, talking, and stopping every five seconds because I saw another patch of wildflowers.
This was my first time photographing a couples session at Herman Gulch, and I was obsessed with how much there was to work with without even making it all the way up the trail. Mountain views, sooo many wildflowers, cloudy skies with random little bursts of sun... literally everything I wanted for my first session here.
And coming from Georgia, I am still getting used to just how many different wildflowers Colorado has. I kept finding new ones the entire way up and E + H were very patient with me being excited about all of them 😭
Okayyyy now go look at them!!

After what felt like approximately twelve years of hiking with no water, we finally found our spot and got to actually relax for a minute. Very glamorous. Very prepared. 10/10 planning on our part.
But it was sooo worth it.
E + H spent the rest of the session being their goofy, playful selves with the mountains behind them, and this is exactly the kind of couples session I love getting to photograph. A little adventure, a lot of laughing, and photos that actually feel like the two people in them.
Herman Gulch is officially going on my list of favorite spots for couples photos near Denver, especially during wildflower season. And yes, I will absolutely be bringing water next time.
If you want your own Colorado couples session to involve mountain views, wildflowers, and probably at least one questionable hiking decision, hiiii. I would love to photograph you.
Let’s plan something that feels like you →
