H and G got married at Gainesville First United Methodist Church, and I swear, it felt like a love letter to who they are. Small town, big heart, zero fluff.
They met working at Chick-fil-A in school, and their old manager- who officiated in a *kilt- *kept the energy personal and hilarious. During the cake cutting, he handed the groom the sword off of his hip sword and said, “Go cut the cake.” He did. Icing and all.
But it wasn’t just funny- it was genuinely sweet. They planted a pathos together during the ceremony, and I can’t stop thinking about how perfect that is. A plant that grows slowly, rooted and climbing. It felt quiet and intentional, like everything about their day.
The whole thing had this warm, grounded feel to it. The kind of wedding where everyone knows the couple, and you leave feeling lucky to witness it.
